SEATTLE — Two people were killed and another injured early Thursday in a shooting in Belltown neighborhood, police said.
Seattle police officers responded to reports of shots fired near Fifth Avenue and Battery Street about 12:30 a.m. They found three people with gunshot wounds. Two of them died at the scene, police said.
Witnesses told officers that two groups of people “were in a disturbance” just before shots rang out, then people fled the scene, police said.
The third victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The scene was cleared, and roadways reopened by 6 a.m. Thursday.
