Polestar is a company like no other. They not only have the most proficient electric vehicles, but also the most ambitious. A clear example of this can be found in the Polestar 6 EV Roadster. It’s just been confirmed to enter production and is looking to hit the road in 2026. The vehicle itself is an electric cruise machine that was previewed as part of an awe-inspiring O2 concept. Sure it may take a while to produce, but so what? Rome was anything but built in a day. So what if Polestar wants to launch the 6 in 2026? That’s enough time to hammer out all the details. Of course, the vehicle was shown on display as part of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. All part of the West Coast’s Monterey Car Week. But the important thing to keep in mind is that compared to the sleek and smooth architecture of Polestars before it, this stock-car looking convertible will spin heads with a unique and all-but-forgotten unmistakability in both performance and style.

Let’s look at the specs!

Shared with the more imminent Polestar 5, the Polestar 6 will utilize an 884-horsepower dual-motor with all-wheel-drive powertrain that is unstoppable beyond belief. 663 pound-feet of torque, to be exact. What’s more is that the Polestar name will be plastered on about 500 LA Concept editions, featuring never-before-seen details from the original concept design of the 02.

What else is impressive is how this two-door hardtop convertible will utilize the electric dynamo design of a bonded aluminum chassis, developed in-house and made to withstand rigidity and promote a lightweightedness.

For the most part, that’s it. Polestar is really keeping their car cards close to their chest as 2026 still remains to be some time away. Of course, more technical specs will come out sooner or later in the form of interviews, testimonials and commercials with voiceover work by Mr. Robot star, Christian Slater. But what we do know is that it’s expected to charge the asphalt from zero to 62 miles per hour in only 3.2 seconds. The Polestar 6’s top speed? 155 mph. If that line doesn’t give you whiplash from that double-take you had to take, I don’t know what will. The LA Concept will use Sky Blue Paint, light interior of the leather variety and probably some other exclusive goodies you can’t find in the average Polestar 6. All in all, this vehicle already has a line and would love for you to join the waitlist.

The reservation in advance is well-worth it, if we had to wager what will be the next big brand to take on all the EV greats. Tesla, Lucid, Rivian and Tyco RC cars? Watch out.

Polestar has set a course to kick your butts. And it’s not going to stop until their 21-inch wheels entirely demolish and crush the competition with sheer kindness and flawless mechanics that you would not be able to find on the most advanced alien planets out there beyond our reach.
